Y|E|S net partners were actively involved in two regional events held during the BBC's Stargazing Live week.  On Saturday 14 Jan the Space Connections Space Bus was in Centenary Square along with Bradford Robotic Telescope, Dark Sky Discovery and ESERO in the Impressions Gallery.

This was followed on the evening of Tuesday 17 January by a major event at the Yorkshire Museum in York, which  held a highly popular Observatory open evening with a chance to see the historic telescope, look through it into the night sky, learn about the history of the observatory and of astronomy in York and view images on screen of local stargazing highlights including shooting stars, galaxies, the moon and planets.

Space Connections took along the Space Bus which proved immensely popular, and offered space activities for children.  Inside, the SpaceQuest Mars-scape was on display, along with ESERO and Dark Sky Discovery.

In excess of 2500 people attended the two events above; the BBC were delighted with the regional response to Stargazing Live, and above all many people, young and old, were enthused by space and astronomy.
